Mississippi Reporter is Dead

WJTV in Jackson. MS says that  Reporter Melanie Dotson has died.

Dotson had only been at the station since April. She was from Brandon, Miss. and is a graduate of Tougaloo College. She came to the station WXVT in Greenville.

During her time here at WJTV she covered stories about two men trapped in a gravel pit in Copiah County, the deaths of two nuns who were killed in Durant, flooding in Mississippi, along with a host of other stories.

The station did not say what the cause of death was?
