FOX Execs Ink Multi-Year Deals
/"The Firm" is trying to put some stability into its news network senior leadership. Fox News co-presidents Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine have signed new multi-year deals.
Rupert Murdoch made the announcement saying the move ensures stability and leadership to help guide the network for years to come.
Abernethy and Shine co-oversee FOX News Channel and FOX Business Network. Abernethy will run the business components of FNC and FBN while continuing to run FOX Television Stations. Shine oversees all programming and news functions of FNC and FBN.
CBS tried something similar when they named Jeff Fager chairman of CBS News and David Rhodes president. Fager later stepped down and went back to concentrating solely on '60 Minutes'.
Only time will tell how this co-thing works at "The Firm".
