Out the Door in Houston

FTVLive told you back June that KHOU had demoted morning Anchor Lilly Jang to Reporter, until her contract ran out. 

It has and Jang posted that she is no longer part of the KHOU staff. 

Jang came to Houston from KCPQ in Seattle and for her it was a homecoming in the town she grew up in. 

"I am incredibly blessed that KHOU is giving me this opportunity," Jang told mikemcguff.com at the time. "Excited to finally be home where I grew up and my parents can watch me."

But this homecoming did not end in a fairytale. It ended with a demotion and a termination when her contract came up.

Welcome to TV news. 

But, people tell FTVLive that Jang is the real deal and a solid newsperson. So, we expect that this won't be the last you hear from her.
