It seems that Scripps owned WKBW (Buffalo) is going to the videotape when it comes to the sportscast.
Buffalo sources tell FTVLive the last place station prerecorded the 11 p.m. sportscast during the late news.
Sports Reporter/Anchor Matt Bove anchored the sportscaster on the late news, but for some reason it was prerecorded.
While Sports Anchor routinely prerecord sportscast for the morning news, doing so for the late newscast is very rare.
In a sports town like Buffalo it is unheard of.
Sources say that the station did not let viewers know that the live broadcast that they were watching was not live.
