More Free Time for this Freelancer

It appears that Sinclair is cutting back on freelancers at their stations.

One of the more popular Reporters at WJLA in DC has felt the cut first hand.

Roz Plater - long time DC reporting icon - has been relieved from her freelancing gig at the Sinclair station.

Palter was well respected as a solid "meat and potatoes" reporter - originally at WTTG Fox5 DC and then most recently at WJLA.

Plater was a freelancer, but had been working at least four nights a week.

Word is that management told Plater that she would be used less often and she hasn't been seen on the air for sometime.

So, when Sinclair tells you they are cutting back your hours, it appears that you can expect them to be cut back to zero.
