Out the Door in Chicago

Late last week, WLS Weekend Morning Anchor Ben Bradley's picture fell off the bio page for the Chicago news team.

Over the weekend Bradley wasn't on air and no mention was made of him being gone.

After 14 years, the Anchor had quietly left the ABC O&O and speculation was that Bradley might be crossing the street?

Bradley is telling friends that he decided not to renew his contract and is looking at a new opportunity.

Robert Feder writes that because of contract restrictions, it may not be known until January where Bradley turns up next, but speculation centers on NBC-owned WMAQ-Channel 5 or Tribune Broadcasting WGN-Channel 9. Either station could fulfill Bradley’s ambitions to anchor on weekdays and/or focus on investigative reporting.

Stay tuned....
