Here's Your Best Story of the Day

Here is a very sad and happy video all rolled into one. 

8 year old Vanessa Vega's Dad was a Palm Springs police officer. Jose ``Gilbert'' Vega was killed in the line of duty earlier this month. 

Two weeks after his death, little Vanessa  thought it was time she head back to school. 

But, when Vanessa walked outside to catch the school bus, she got quite a surprise and one very cool ride to school. 

Go ahead and watch and you might want to have a tissue near by, you know, in case something gets in your eye.
