Cuts Continue at Tribune

FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you that Tribune had been quietly offering buyouts to some longtime employees and have also started to make layoffs. 

Sources tell FTVLive that all of Master Control operators at WTVR in Richmond, VA Has been told that they can either transfer to the new Tribune Master Control Hub in Norfolk, or be shown the door.  

Also at WTVR, a longtime Production Manager and Human Resource manager has accepted the buyouts.

FTVLive is also hearing rumblings that several buyouts and cutbacks have taken place at KFOR, WNEP, KTXL, and WXIN/WTTV.  

About 90% of the buyouts are behind the scenes longtime employees. 

This my friends is just a taste of what you will be seeing at a number of stations in 2017.
