CNN took Trump Coverage to the Bank

When CNN decided to go all missing plane on Donald Trump, is was all about the ratings and the money.

NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik. says that CNN's non-stop Trump coverage brought the network $100 million more than anticipated this election year.

CNN has been widely criticized for what some describe as an unhealthy “obsession” with Trump, which can be traced back to the Republican primaries. The network routinely carried Trump rallies live and in full (while rarely extending the same courtesy to other candidates) and CNN continues to employ former Trump campaign operative Corey Lewandowski.

Earlier this month Zucker acknowledged in an appearance at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government that CNN might have gone slightly overboard with their Trump coverage. But, it appears that Zucker is laughing all the way to the bank.
