Contest for Free Groceries Fails to Win Ratings

We're guessing that people can not be bribe with Groceries in Milwaukee.

A contest that offered viewers a chance to win one year of groceries at Sendik’s Food Markets failed to bag a ratings win for WTMJ-TV (Channel 4) as rival WISN-TV (Channel 12) won the February sweeps ratings for key newscasts.

Channel 4 news anchors Mike Jacobs andCarole Meekins appeared in spots promoting the station’s giveaway of $100 gift cards weekly for groceries with a $5,200 grand prize of “Groceries 4 a Year.”

Comeback for WFAA in Dallas Ratings

Comeback for WFAA in Dallas Ratings

Winless a year ago in the four-week February "sweeps," WFAA8 took back the 10 p.m. top spots this time around while Fox4 logged the most overall victories.

WFAA8 bested CBS11 by a bare handful of viewers overall while dominating the late night news among 25-to-54-year-olds, the main advertiser target audience for news programming. CBS11 had won both competitions in February 2012. The final numbers again had to be broken down to three decimal points to determine a total viewers champ in the late news race. And in other races as well.
