Rudy Helped Roger Get Big Bucks from Fox News
It seems that former New York Mayor and now Trump lapdog, Rudy Giuliani helped Roger Ailes broker his severance from Fox News.
The NY Daily News says that a source close to Ailes' $40 million payoff says that the former mayor was “instrumental” in the proceedings, as was News Corp. boss Rupert Murdoch.
“Roger Ailes called Rudy in to help with the deal,” we’re told. “Originally, Ailes wanted $60 million. He walked away with $40 million.”
Ailes stepped away from Fox News in July after 20 years at the helm, following accusations of sexual harassment from anchor Gretchen Carlson.
Carlson settled for a whopping $20 million payout from the conservative news network without any admission or apology from Ailes.
So, if you are keeping score at home, the alleged harasser got $40 million and the alleged harassee got $20 million. And no one sees anything wrong with this?
The paper says, “Friends say Ailes' totally crushed by this — he’s gone from being a savior to being a pariah.”
Sounds like he has 40 million reasons to quit whining if you ask us.
