Tegna's Seattle Station Hires New Anchor
Tenga owned KING-TV in Seattle has hired a new evening Anchor and the staff found out from the press release.
The station has hired David Espinosa-Hall as the new evening Anchor starting October.
Staff at KING tell FTVLive that they found out about Espinosa-Hall's hiring through the station press release. No email from management and nothing said about what is happening with the current evening Anchors at the station.
“We are thrilled to announce that we have hired our newest evening news anchor, David Espinosa-Hall” said Cheryl Carson, KING 5 news director. “His arrival will be the result of months of searching to find the right person to join our team. He brings experience, personality and genuine enthusiasm to immerse himself in our community.”
Espinosa-Hall comes to KING 5 from WKMG in Orlando Florida where he has spent the last two years as their morning anchor. Before the sunshine state, Espinosa-Hall worked at KMBC in Kansas, WWOR in Secaucus, KDKA in Pittsburgh and WTOC in Savannah, Georgia.
“To join such a prestigious television news station like KING-TV is an amazing career opportunity. I look forward to joining this team of veteran journalists and calling Seattle my home,” wrote David Espinosa-Hall.
He starts at the station in September and will hit the air as Anchor in October.
