Sources tell FTVLive that WXIN Fox 59 (Indianapolis) had a brand new news car (SUV) stolen from its secure lot.

So, how does a news car get swiped from the station's secure parking lot?

Word is that one of the station's security guards took the car and it was all captured on  surveillance video.

The SUV has been recovered, but the security guard is nowhere to be found. 

So much for station security keeping things safe.
