Anchor's Lawsuit Against Toy Company Moves Forward
You may remember that Fox News Anchor Harris Faulkner sured Hasbro Toys for making a toy named "Harris Faulkner" that she claimed looked just like her.
Well, Harris Faulkner, the anchor and not the toy has won a round in court.
Hasbro filed a motion to dismiss, arguing that its hamster toy looked nothing like the plaintiff and that “name-sameness is not enough to state a claim for a violation of one’s right of publicity.”
A judge on the case has disagreed with Hasbro's argument and the case continues to move forward.
