Ailes to be Out at Fox News?

Earlier, Gabriel Sherman reported in New York Magazine that the Murdoch's Have Decided to Remove Roger Ailes at Fox News.

It's a story that is so big it is hard to believe.

Former NY Times Reporter Bill Carter sent out the tweet above and the only thing we have to disagree with, is there is no argument. This story would be huge.

You have to understand that when it comes to the conservative media, they all bow down to Ailes and follow his lead.

The idea that Ailes could be out and the silence coming out of Fox News right now is deafening. Normally, Fox News PR is quick to hop on any Sherman story and start shooting it down before the ink is dry on the paper.

But so far, nothing from Fox News and nothing from parent company 21st Century Fox.

From a timing stand point, it would be the best the Murdoch's can do. While many of the media and almost all conservative media is in Cleveland for the RNC, there might not be a better time to drop a bomb like this.

With Trump getting the nomination, the "Ailes is out" story would be huge, but still downplayed with so much happening on the Republican side.

Sherman's article also points that all those Fox News people that came to Ailes' defense, might have been pressured to do so. Sherman writes, "they are also looking into the appropriateness of Ailes’s pressuring employees to speak out on his behalf, against his accusers. For instance, they are focusing on an op-ed written by Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto in which Cavuto called the allegations against Ailes “sick.” As Cavuto is a manager at Fox News (his title is senior VP and managing editor), his comments could be seen as part of a corporate attempt to silence women who would speak out." Cavuto responded to those claims in a NY Times article.

If this story turns out to be true and judging by the silence from FNC, it surely might be, there are two things for sure.

No. 1 - This will rock Fox News to its core.

No. 2 - Megyn Kelly looks like a genius.

Stay tuned......
