New Haven Weatherman Busted on Child Porn Charges
Police entered the building at WTNH in New Haven and Arrested one of the station's Meteorologist.
The charge? Child pornography.
State Police, along with the FBI, Homeland Security and the Hamden Police Department, said they executed a search warrant at the home of WTNH Weather Anchor Justin Goldstein as part of an ongoing child pornography investigation.
Police said the investigation began in June after video files of suspected child pornography were downloaded from the internet account assigned to Goldstein.
Police said Goldstein wasn’t home when they arrived and computers and computer-related equipment were seized from his home.
Examination of that property on scene revealed files of suspected child porn. The cops went to the station and place Goldstein under arrest.
He has been charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance and first-degree possession of child pornography.
Goldstein is being held on $200,000 bail and is due in court on tomorrow at 9 a.m.
