FTVLive was the FIRST to tell you (don't worry, the other guys will get around to it eventually) yesterday that the Fox O&O in LA had parted ways with their News Director.

When Bill Mondora was named the News Director at KTTV, General Manager Kevin Hale said “Bill’s broad experience and news expertise make him the ideal candidate to lead our newsroom into the future...."

Well, it appears that the "future" last just two years, as Mondora is no longer with the station. The staff was gathered together just as the evening news was hitting the air and told that Mondora was out. 

Mondora came to the Fox O&O (AKA The Firm) in the Spring of 2014. He made it until the Summer (just barley) of 2016. He was brought in to replace Kingsley Smith, who was let go in the fall of 2013. 

It took a long time for The Firm to finally replace Smith, it will be interesting how long it takes them to replace Mondora. 

No matter how long it takes, expect little communication and a number of secret meetings before it all happens.
