After 43 years on the job, WSVN's (Miami) first female Reporter is ready to call it quits. 

The Sun Sentinel reports that, WSVN Investigative Reporter Carmel Cafiero is retiring from the station after more than 4 decades. 

Her last day with the Fox affiliate is June 30, according to the station.

Reached over the phone Cafiero said retirement is "kind of a scary thing ... I am really happy about it, and I am really sad about it, and I am looking forward it and I am not sure about it. It's a full basket of emotions."

The New Orleans native was the first and only female reporter at WSVN when she began in 1973. She had previously worked at WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge.
