Weatherman Sam Champion, you might remember him from ABC's Good Morning America, got into a twitter spat with American Airlines.

It seems the airline was pulling fat people (they used the word heavy) off a Florida to New York bound plane and replaced them with other passengers. 

This did not have Champion happy:

American Airlines wanted Champion to talk via direct message, but Champion wanted to keep the Twitter spat public. 

The airline tried to calm Champion down and blamed the seat swaps on "developing weather." Not sure what fat people and weather have to do with each other?

I don't know, if I'm on a plane and they say it might be a bit too heavy to fly, I'm all for booting the fatties (even if I'm one of them).

But that's just me.
