The May book is in the books and News Director firing season is just getting started. 

This is the time of year, when News Directors get whacked after the newscast's numbers did not meet expectations. 

The first to leave is KXTV News Director Jerome Parra. 

Parra joined the Sacramento station 4 years ago and says that he's looking for a "new chapter in his career."

Parra came to KXTV from the Deuce gig at KPNX in Phoenix.
