One of CBS News First Female Reporters is Dead
Jeanne Parr, one of the first female news correspondents for CBS has passed away.
She started her career as a model and local journalist in Madison, Wisc., before moving to New York to work for the network.
As a reporter, she covered major events like the Newark, N.J., riots in 1967. She landed a talk show in 1978 titled “The Jeanne Parr Show.”
Later in her career, she turned to work behind the camera. Parr produced documentaries and authored the book, “The Superwives," which focused on the spouses of successful athletes. She also founded her own communications consulting firm.
She was also the mother of “The Good Wife” star Chris Noth.
Parr was 92 years old.
