ABC's World News Gains Ground
ABC’s "World News Tonight" and its Anchor David Muir is quietly having a very good year.
WNT is having it's best season in nearly a decade, although the newscast still remains in second place.
Season to date "World News" is averaging 8.62 million total viewers, according to Nielsen, showing growth for the fourth year and a row and its highest total since the 2006-07 season.
The newscast trails "NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt" by 265,000 viewers, the closest it has been to NBC in eight seasons.
