Cleveland Investigative Reporter Heads to DC
When Fred D’Ambrosi took over as the News Director at WOIO in Cleveland, he wanted to change the station's image.
Gone was Action News and replaced by a more mellow (i.e boring) newscast. He also got rid of high priced staffers, or told them they had to take drastic pay cuts. FTVLive told you about these changes back in September of last year.
Some staffers stuck around at the lower pay, while others got on their phone to their agents and looked for better deals in bigger markets, where they will be appreciated.
That appears exactly what WOIO Investigative Reporter Scott Taylor did.
Taylor is packing up his bags and moving to Washington, DC.
WJLA announced that on July 1st, Taylor will be joining the station’s trusted 7 ON YOUR SIDE team.
“Scott is an tenacious journalist, and will be a key addition to our strong team of investigative reporters ” said ABC7 Director of News Mitch Jacob. “It won’t take viewers in the DMV long to discover why he has been such a popular fixture in Cleveland.”
“7 ON YOUR SIDE is known across the country for reporting hard hitting investigations,” said Scott Taylor, “and I can’t wait to roll-up my sleeves and join in with ABC7’s team of award-winning reporters.”
Prior to Cleveland, Taylort worked at WSYX in Columbus, OH, WHBQ in Memphis, TN, and WXOW-TV in La Crosse, WI.
