Two days ago, FTVLive told you that KNBC in LA was looking to add a 4PM newscast at the end of the month. 

Now, it appears that crosstown rival KABC is looking to upstage the NBC O&O with a plan on their own. 

Sources tell FTVLive that KABC news managers have spent much of the past few days in News Director Rob Elmore's office. Word is that the station is looking into the possibility of launching a 3PM newscast and getting it on the air by the end of the month. 

In other words, the ABC O&O is trying to upstage the NBC O&O.
