ESPN Hires New Voice for MNF
Monday Night Football has been on the air almost 50 years.
It's about to get it's 5th play by play announcer.
The network announced that Sean McDonough will be the new voice for MNF, replacing Mike Tirico. FTVLive told you last month that Tirico is headed to NBC.
McDonough will be the fifth play-by-play voice in the history of the broadcast. He will work alongside analyst Jon Gruden.
“McDonough, whose broadcasting resume includes the World Series, NCAA Final Four and the Olympic Games, has worked on major properties including college football, college basketball and Major League Baseball in recent years. He has also called NFL games for ESPN Radio since 2013,” ESPN said in a statement.
Can you name the other 4 to call the games for MNF?
They are, Keith Jackson, Frank Gifford, Al Michaels and Tirico.
