Out the Door in St. Louis

A St. Louis Reporter has left the station for another job in broadcasting.

KSDK Reporter Farrah Fazal has signed off from the station, but isn't saying yet where she is headed.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch writes that Fazal said she has left the station to take another broadcasting job outside of the area, but she said she could not share too many specifics because contract negotiations are incomplete.

"It's in broadcasting and it involves investigative reporting and work on social justice topics," Fazal said, adding it will include regular travel in the U.S. and abroad.

Fazal, who was born in North Africa and raised in England and Canada, said she already has begun to miss STL.

"Of all the places I've lived, St. Louis feels most like home to me," said Fazal, who came to KSDK in 2013 after television jobs in Montana, Nebraska, Florida and Texas.

"In St. Louis, people stop me in the grocery store to tell me they like my work, and they want to talk about stories.

"There is such a unique charm to this city," she said, "and I'm sad to be leaving that."
