At 4:40PM power was knocked out to the KDVR studios in Denver.  The station had a newscast scheduled in just 20 minutes and a lot of work to do to make it happen.

It didn't take long for power to be restored, but most of the equipment to produce a live newscast was not working because of the outage.

It was all hands on deck with white boards, flip charts, photos on iPads and a makeshift studio in the newsroom.
