Kentucky Weather Anchor Busted
WPSD (Paducah, KY) Weather Anchor Tori Shawwas busted by state police after they found a marijuana growing operation in her house.
Cops say that Shaw and her husband, Tyler Smoyer, were arrested on charges of firearm enhanced cultivating five or more marijuana plants, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The cultivation charge is a felony, and the other charges are misdemeanors.
Police say the arrests were made after troopers responded to an anonymous tip of an indoor marijuana grow operation at the couple's home. The law enforcement agency says troopers performed a "knock and talk" at the home, and later got a search warrant for the home.
Troopers say they found five marijuana plants, six long guns, two pistols, two silencers, eight storage boxes of ammunition, a tactical vest, and multiple items used to grow marijuana, as well as two more marijuana plants found in a trash can behind the residence.
Both were jailed in the Graves County jail. They have since been released.
Sources tell FTVLive Shaw had been informed by the station before her arrest that he contract was not being renewed, which expires at the end of the month.
We're guessing that this arrest speeds that up a bit.
Just saying....
