After what happened in Roanoke, Reporters are more aware of their surroundings when doing live shots. 

WTVR (Richmond) Reporter Jake Burns was going live from a murder scene and as he was nearing the end of his live shot it got a bit scary.

A car turned around on the street, facing back at the camera. Then the car started revving the engine and peeled out coming towards the camera.

Burns was not sticking around to see what this idiot had planned, so he bailed on the shot.

He came back on camera after the car passed and said he was fine.

He posted this message to social media this morning:

"For those of you who were watching at 5:30am, I am fine and staying vigilant. I believe the car just wanted to make a scene when they saw my live truck. Still, these days you must be careful. Thanks to everyone who has reached out to me this morning, checking in."
