While the media is falling all over themselves to grab and interview with Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, the viewers really could care less.

Case and point, Clinton's interview on CNN barely moved the numbers and the network still finished a distant second to Fox News.

Viewers seemed to be burned out already on the 2016 election and it's still 2015.

If a cable channel had the guts to ignore politics until the middle of next year, we're betting that their ratings would rise.

Of course we will never no, because it will never happen.

But we can dream can't we?
