Lester Holt has taken the big chair at NBC Nightly News, but he is still a bit homesick for the Today Show.

He also plans on sticking around Dateline, at least for a while longer.

While talking to the Detroit Free Press, holt talked about his fondness for Today:

"'Dateline' is still part of my job portfolio for the time being. I enjoy doing that. ... I do miss the 'Today' show a little bit because the 'Today' show allows you to kind of lay it all out there, your entire personality. 'Today' show viewers know your dog's name, your kid's name, what music you like, what your pet peeves are. Nightly news, we don't get that opportunity."
