KABC has finally gotten around to naming a new News Director.

Rob Elmore has been called up from ABC's Triple A station WTVD in Raleigh to take over for  Cheryl Fair.

Fair was bumped up to the GM job back in February. 

Elmore has been at WTVD since 1998 and now moves from Raleigh to LA.

Talk about culture shock.
