Fox News Tops Cable Ratings
In a week that marked a number of high profile presidential bid announcements, FOX News Channel was the go-to source for election coverage topping all of cable at #1 in primetime, according to Nielsen.
For a third time this year, FNC clinched the top primetime spot with an average of 1.7 million viewers in primetime 8-11PM/ET, ranking above USA, TBS and Discovery. Meanwhile, CNN ranked 27th with 523,000 viewers and MSNBC at 30th with 516,000 viewers in primetime.
If MSNBC was hoping for a Hillary boost, it didn't happen. The network might be leaning forward, but continues to lean backward in the ratings.
