Keith Russell, who most recently worked at Philly’s WXTF, is joining KTVT in Dallas starting Today. 

Russell is not scheduled to debut on-air till next week. Russell, who fills the slot vacated by Babe Laufenberg, who left in January after 17 years with the station.

 Russell has also worked for WPVI in Philadelphia, as well as stations in Hattiesburg and Jackson, Miss., and Providence, R.I.

Russell spent 7 years at WPVI, but was only at WXTF since September of last year.  He also has some ESPN and CNN in his background, as well as a news-anchoring gig at WRC in Washington., D.C.
