Back on Top in Salt Lake
KUTV is back on top of the news ratings in Salt Lake City.
According to numbers from Nielsen, KUTV averaged approximately 66,400 households for its Monday-Friday 10 p.m. newscasts during the February sweeps. Second-place KSL averaged about 52,900 households, edging out third-place KSTU 50,300 for its 9 p.m. newscast. KTVX trailed with 23,300.
The household numbers also show KUTV's local newscasts were the most-watched from 4:30-8 a.m., at midday and at 5 p.m. That last time period is significant because KUTV retook sole possession of first-place at 5 p.m. (after tying with KSL in the November 2014 sweeps).
