Philly Reporter Called Up to the Big Leagues
WPVI Anchor/Reporter Eva Pilgrim is leaving the station, but not the ABC family.
Pilgrim is joining ABC News ABC News as a correspondent starting January 4th.
Pilgrim joined WPVI in 2012, and she's served as both an anchor and a reporter.
In a statement, ABC News President James Goldstein, who referred to WPVI as a "powerhouse,' praised Pilgrim's work on the Amtrak derailment and Pope Francis' visit to Philadelphia, as well as her investigative work. Goldstein also added some fun facts about Pilgrim: "While at the University of Florida, Eva was a member of the debate team and still loves a good argument. She is a self-proclaimed chemistry nerd. When not at work, she enjoys playing the violin and riding her motorcycle."
