Former Providence Anchor Heads to West Virginia
Former WLNE Anchor Mark Curtis has landed a new gig in West Virginia.
Curtis will work for the West Virginia Media Holdings WOWK in Charleston, West Virginia to be Chief Political Reporter.
The CBS affiliate, which operates as a state news network, has four television stations in the state.
Curtis be based at WOWK, but will also be reporting for the group’s three other TV stations: WTRF Wheeling; WVNS Bluefield-Beckley; and, WBOY Clarksburg.
“I’m a ‘political junkie’ so this is a great opportunity for me,” said Curtis. “Covering government and holding our leaders accountable is critical to our democracy."
Curtis, who will serve as the State House and primary political reporter, will begin the new position a week from Today.
As FTVLive reported, Curtis was bounced from the Providence station back in March.
