Bumped Up in Greenville
WYFF bumped up their Traffic Reporter to morning Anchor.
The station announced that Allyson Powell has been promoted to news anchor of WYFF News 4 Today.
She replaces former anchor Beth Brotherton, who left the station in August to work for Greenville County Schools.
Powell is a Greenville native and a graduate of Eastside High School and the University of South Carolina. She has been with WYFF since July 2013, when she joined the station as a traffic reporter. She has been a full-time traffic anchor and general assignment reporter since October 2014.
Powell will share the news desk with anchor Geoff Hart and meteorologist Dale Gilbert on the morning show, which airs weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.
"The anchor team of Geoff Hart and Allyson Powell is a winning combination," said WYFF general manager John Soapes.
