Ummm....You Left Something Out
CNN's Brian Stelter has written a story about his former employer, the New York Times is in a pissing match with Amazon.
Amazon felt that the NY Times did a hit piece on the company and they asked the Times to make some corrections to the story. When they didn't do that, Amazon fired back with a piece of their own.
"They haven't, which is why we decided to write about it ourselves," Jay Carney, Amazon's senior vice president for global corporate affairs, wrote in a Medium blog post on Monday morning.
In the CNN story, Stelter wrote that, "Carney was a journalist at Time magazine for two decades and later became President Obama's chief spokesman. He joined Amazon earlier this year."
What Stelter did leave out of the story was the fact Carney worked at CNN, before going to Amazon.
It wasn't until a tweet by Inside Cable News, calling Stelter out for the omission, that Stelter quietly went back into the story and wrote, "....after a brief stint as a CNN political analyst."
A fact that most certainly should have been in the story since the beginning.
This comes on the heels of another CNN Media Critic being called out as well.
Dylan "Scoop Machine" Byers was called out for trolling a Reporter from the right leaning Washington Free Beacon.
The CNN Media Critics seem great at pointing out problems with the other media, but seems to forget to look at themselves.
