From the moment Sinclair announced that it was buying WJLA in DC, news staffers have been updating resumes and trying to get out. 

Many have left the DC station and now that Sinclair has taken control, the run to the exits seems to be continuing. 

The latest to leave is Reporter Hatzel Vela.

Vela is headed down I-95 to WPLG in Miami. He is no stranger to SoFlo, Vale went to school at Florida International University and his first TV gig was as an AP at WSVN.
