WLS in Chicago has hired a new EP for the morning newscast.

Weather Channel Executive Producer Jesse Hamilton is leaving Atlanta and headed to the Windy City.  

According to his Weather Channel bio, Hamilton has been responsible for 13 hours of live programming during the week.

“He’s a whiz at showcasing, breaking coverage and social media, all skills that will translate well to our morning newscasts,” WLS News Director Jennifer Graves.
