Cops Say Fox News Anchor was "Very Intoxicated"
Early this morning, Fox News Anchor Gregg Jarrett bonded out of a Minneapolis jail after posting a $300 bond.
Jarrett was busted by police after an employee at an airport lounge called police to say Jarrett “appeared to be acting very intoxicated,” according to police.
Officers responded and found Jarrett to be “uncooperative, resistant and combative” during his arrest.
Jarrett, who calls the New York City has yet to respond to telephone and e-mail messages seeking comment about his arrest or reveal why he was in Minnesota while on leave from work.
A network spokeswoman said in a statement from Fox headquarters in New York that “we were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor. He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined.”
FTVLive posted video in April of what appeared to be a drunk Jarrett anchoring on air.
He has not been seen on FNC's air since April and Fox News says that he requested a leave of absence from the network.
