KWWL News Director Dan Schillinger is leaving the station but not the parent company.  

Schillinger is staying with Quincy Newspapers Inc., which owns KWWL, to take over managing the newsroom at WQOW in Eau Claire, Wis. Schillinger has been at KWWL since late 2011.

"He brought a lot of experience to our newsroom which is helpful to some of our younger reporters," said Jim McKernan, KWWL station vice president and general manager. "We're grateful for Dan's leadership."

Schillinger brought nearly 40 years of journalism experience to the newsroom with more than a decade of experience in the position of news director. He is a native of Menomonie, Wis.

"He's kind of returning to his home market," McKernan said.
