ABC said they were going to fill the job quickly and they did.

The Disney network has named James Goldston has as the new president of ABC News. Goldston, who had served as senior VP under Ben Sherwood has been bumped up the food chain.

 Sherwood is replacing Anne Sweeney as co-president, ABC Television Group.
