Chicago Reporter's DUI/Battery Case could be Resolved Tomorrow
The DUI and Battery case against WBBM Reporter Dave Savini maybe settled at a court hearing tomorrow.
The Chicago Investigative Reporter was arrested back in early January for DUI after a traffic accident in a Taco Bell parking lot. Police say Savini then shoved another motorist who was trying to photograph Savini’s license plate, and that Savini drove away from the restaurant, along with two minor passengers.
The case is expected in court on Tuesday. DuPage County Judge James Konetski turned down a request filed on behalf of the Chicago Tribune to allow a still photographer inside the courtroom for Savini’s appearance.
WBBM has yet to report the arrest of Savini on their newscasts.
Because...you know....the communications business.
