From TV News to Political Flack
Reporter Richard Piatt joined KSL (Salt Lake) in 1998, now he's leaving TV news and heading to Washington.
No he has not been elected to Congress, but he will be a congressional mouthpiece.
Congresswoman-elect Mia Love announced she has hired Piatt, as her communications director.
“I am thrilled to have someone with Richard’s experience on my staff,” Love said in a statement. “I am confident he will assist me in my efforts to represent the people of the 4th District, and the state of Utah in my desire to bring a Utah perspective to the important issues in Washington.”
“I’m looking forward to being on the other side of the business of politics,” Piatt said. “I’m excited to apply the skills I learned in broadcasting in a different aspect.”
Sounds boring as hell...but hey...whatever floats your boat.
