Wichita News Director Gets Son on the Field for the World Series (Updated)
Wichita insiders tell FTVLive that KAKE News Director Michael Sipes and his son were reprimanded by Major League Baseball officials after asking for autographs on the field at last night's World Series game in Kansas City.
Sipes tweeted a picture of him and his son on the field at the game. His son appears to be wearing a press credential in the photo.
No word if other KAKE employees could also take their kids on the field as well. I'm guessing not.
Just saying....
Update: Sipes reached out in an email to FTVLive, but said that he did not want his email published (so we won't do that).
He did tell FTVLive that his son was credentialed as a production Assistant. We're guessing his son has never been credentialed as a PA for the City Council meetings.
