From O-Town to Big D
WFTV in Orlando announced several weeks ago that anchor-reporter Bianca Castro was leaving.
But the station didn't know where she was going.
Castro revealed this week that she is headed to NBC O&O KXAS in Dallas and that she will anchor at 4 p.m. and report, WFTV news director Matt Parcell said Wednesday.
Castro's last day at WFTV will be Feb. 21.
She has strong ties to Texas: She grew up in Plano and worked in Waco and Corpus Christi. Her WFTV bio reads: "During college, I interned at WFAA in Dallas and was hooked! I graduated from Baylor University (sic 'em Bears!), where I met my husband."
She stared at WFTV in 2010.
