One Newscast in and One Out
When Orlando's WFTV launched a new 4PM newscast last week, the station quietly canned another newscast in a different time slot.
WFTV pulled the plug on the 6:30PM newscast they were producing on their sister station WRDQ-Channel.
"With the launch of the 4 p.m. news on WFTV, we felt it was the right time to put sitcoms in that hour, to prepare for the fall and to use some of the 6:30 resources for the 4PM," says Shawn Bartelt, general manager of WFTV and WRDQ.
