Cleveland Station to Add 4:00 Newscast
Following along with just about everyone else, WJW in Cleveland is getting into the 4PM news game.
The station says they will be adding a 4 p.m. newscast this fall.
And they have already made a hire for the show.
WBZ (Boston) meteorologist Melissa Mack, who is returning to Northeast Ohio and WJW.
Mack's first stint at Channel 8 began in 2006. She left the Cleveland Fox affiliate in late 2009, jumping to Boston's WBZ Channel 4, a CBS-owned station, in January 2010. She announced last week that she was leaving WBZ, where she was the meteorologist on the morning news.
"It's the end in more ways than one this Friday," Mack wrote Friday on the WBZ website. "Winter has ended, the snow is ending across southeastern Massachusetts, and it's the end of my chapter here at WBZ-TV in Boston. I have spent the last three years, two months and 18 days as part of the WBZ Weather Team. It has been more than I could've ever imagined! I have grown professionally, personally, and culturally. I have been blessed to meet so many great friends, viewers, and co-workers."
